a trauma informed group practice

Individual therapy is our opportunity to provide you with one-on-one support in order to facilitate understanding, growth, and healing during the difficult moments in your life. We offer a safe space to explore topics such as depression, anxiety, anger, substance use, trauma, relationship issues, parenting struggles, life transitions, identity, loss, illness, and behavior challenges. We will support you in sorting through your emotions, beliefs, and behaviors; working through memories that may influence your life; setting attainable goals; and working toward desired change. The therapists of Pivot Collaborative pride themself on offering individualized therapy services that are trauma-informed, queer/GNC allied, culturally attuned, and client centered.

Pivot Collaborative welcomes families of all kinds to enjoy our family-based services. Family therapy usually consists of some combination of children, parents, and siblings joined by one of our therapists to work on an aspect or aspects of their relationship with one another. During family sessions, one of our experienced therapists will help your family build communication skills, better understand one another, align on goals, and work through conflict. Our goal is to help families feel heard, validated, and empowered in healing.

Couple therapy is an opportunity for you and your partner to be supported by one of our therapists through the many challenges and transitions you may experience in your relationship. Our therapists serve as an objective party to develop an understanding of the dynamics you each bring to the space, facilitate communication and conflict resolution, and foster empathy and resilience in your relationship. Our couple therapy services are open to relationships in all stages, for all genders, and are queer-, poly-, and kink-allied.

Pivot offers group therapy options that bring together small groups of individuals who share commonalities in some aspect of their identity or current need. Bringing similar folks together allows members to more easily develop relationships within the group, engage in empathy with one another, and be vulnerable in a shared space. Our groups are co-facilitated by two of our therapists, and are typically 1.5 hours long and 10 weeks in duration. Our groups are “process oriented”, meaning they are led by conversation and engagement amongst group members. Supported by the facilitators, therapeutic work is accomplished through empathetic challenging, engaging in conflict in a healthy and measured way, and mutual accountability.

Pivot Collaborative offers clinical consultation for individuals and organizations on a by-request basis. Please speak to one of our therapists for more information and for availability.

We approach this work collaboratively, with curiosity and without shame. Together, we build a better understanding of how your brain works and explore tools that feel supportive and realistic in your day-to-day life. This can include experimenting with organizational systems and apps, practicing follow-through with gentle accountability, and integrating mindfulness to support impulse awareness and regulation.

Pivot Collaborative offers clinical supervision by one of our Licensed Clinical Social Workers in individual and group formats. Please speak to one of our therapists for more information and for availability.

At Pivot Collaborative, our internship program is an extension of how we think about care, learning, and community. We offer a supportive, relational environment where emerging clinicians can grow their clinical voice while being deeply supported. Interns receive consistent individual supervision, thoughtful guidance, and space to reflect—not just on clinical work, but on their own process as therapists. We prioritize a pace that allows for depth over productivity, and we are intentional about matching interns with clients in ways that feel considered and consensual.
We work closely with graduate programs to ensure all training requirements are met, including clinical hours, supervision, and evaluations. We are committed to creating a meaningful and well-supported training experience for interns while also offering thoughtful, accessible care to our community. Our goal is to support the development of clinicians who are grounded, self-aware, and able to offer care that is trauma-informed, collaborative, and aligned with the communities they serve.
